Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. beer
  • 1 tsp. cooking oil
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg white
  • Vienna sausage (hot)
  • dogs or cooked shrimp

Method

  • Mix batter of flour, beer, cooking oil and salt.
  • Let stand at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Beat egg white until stiff and fold into batter mixture.
  • Cut Vienna sausages into thirds.
  • Dip pieces into batter and fry in deep fat at 400° until batter is golden brown.
  • Serve hot.
  • Cut hot dogs into mouth sized pieces. Cut shrimp as desired.
