Ingredients
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced, separated into rings
- 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chiles, drained
- 1 piece French bread (12 inch), cut lengthwise in half
- 4 OSCAR MAYER Selects Uncured Angus Beef Franks, partially cut lengthwise in half
- 4 KRAFT Big Slice Pepper Jack Cheese Slices
- 1/2 red pepper, cut into strips
Method
- Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat.
- Add onions; cook 4 min.
- or until crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in chiles.
- Hollow out insides of bread halves, leaving 1/2-inch-thick shells.
- Discard removed bread or reserve for another use.
- (See Tip.)
- Place franks in bottom half of bread.
- Top with 2 cheese slices, red peppers and onion mixture; cover with remaining cheese slices and top of bread.
- Wrap in foil.
- Bake 20 min.
- or until sandwich is heated through and cheese is melted.
