Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1 pt. cold water
- 1 tsp. oil of cloves
- 1 Tbsp. alum
- 2 pt. boiling water
Method
- Sift flour and alum until smooth, using the cold water.
- Add boiling water, stirring thoroughly.
- Strain so as to remove lumps. Boil mixture until it is like starch.
- Remove from stove; add oil of cloves, then put into small jars.
