- 1 large head cabbage
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 lb. unseasoned pork sausage
- 1 lb. bacon
- 1 c. cooked rice
- 1 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. basil flakes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
Method
- Remove center from head of cabbage.
- Place cabbage head in large pan and cover with water.
- Add vinegar.
- Cook until leaves become soft and can be removed.
- Line roaster pan bottom with some of the cooked cabbage leaves.
- Mix hamburger, sausage, rice and seasonings together.
- Place mixture on individual leaves and roll. Wrap with bacon slice and secure with a toothpick.
- Place in roaster.
- Dissolve 4 beef bouillon cubes in juice from cooked cabbage and pour over rolls.
- Bake at 350° for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, uncovered.
