Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 8 whole eggs
- 1 pt. half and half
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1/2 gal. milk
Method
- Put sugar in a large bowl, beat eggs well and add to sugar, add half and half, add vanilla and blend well with a fork after each addition.
- Add about half of the milk, blend with electric mixer on low.
- Add rest of the milk, except about 1/2 cup; blend.
- Pour into freezer bucket.
- Use the balance of the milk to "rinse" out the bowl and add to mixture in freezer and stir good.
- Freeze according to freezer directions.
- Makes 1 gallon.
- Best to use 6 quart freezer.
- Any type fruit can be added to this basic recipe.
