Ingredients

  • 1 loaf french bread or other rolls
  • 2/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp granulated garlic
  • 1 tbsp onion powder (not salt)
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 1 tbsp rosemary
  • 1/2 tbsp cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees .
  • Cut bread into 1/2-1 inch cubes and add to large mixing bowl.
  • Add olive oil to bread and mix to coat.
  • The more olive oil you use the crunchier your croutons will be.
  • How much oil you add is up to you.
  • You really can't mess this recipe up.
  • Add all your herbs, salt and pepper.
  • You can mix up the herbs you like best on this step.
  • Be creative!
  • Dump bread mixture onto a foil lined baking sheet.
  • (Do not use nonstick cooking spray).
  • Arrange in a single layer.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 5-7 minutes depending on how crispy you want them.
  • Let cool and serve!
  • TIP***These croutons crushed up make the best bread crumbs!
  • You will literally never buy store bought croutons again once you start these..cheap and soooo easy to make and quick!
