Ingredients

  • 6 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cups flax
  • 1/3 cups wheat germ
  • 1/2 cups coconut
  • *most ingredients are optional
  • 1/2 cups honey
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup canola oil/melted butter

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Put the first six ingredients together in a bowl. In a smaller bowl, mix the honey, brown sugar and oil/butter together. Then pour it into the first bowl. Mix all the ingredients together so all of the granola has been coated.
  • Spread your mixture on a cookie pan that has sides and put it in the oven. Cook it for 30 minutes, stirring it once at 15 minutes.
