Ingredients
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 (14 to 16 oz.) pkg. caramels
- 1 stick oleo
- 3/4 c. chocolate chips
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Prepare cake mix according to instructions on box.
- Pour half of mixture into greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
- This is the crust. Bake 20 minutes at 350°.
- Meanwhile, melt caramels with oleo and milk.
- Pour over baked crust.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over caramel mixture.
- Spread remaining batter over top.
- Bake 20 minutes at 350°.
- Continue baking 10 minutes at 325°.
- This freezes great.
