Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 egg
- 5 c. flour
Method
- Heat first four ingredients until sugar is dissolved.
- Let cool until warm.
- Mix yeast, 1/2 teaspoon sugar and water separately. After yeast is dissolved, add to margarine mixture.
- Then add egg and 4 cups flour.
- Mix good, then add 1 more cup flour.
- Let rise until double.
- Stir down, chill (4 to 5 hours).
- Put 3 teaspoons of dough per muffin cup in muffin pan.
- Dip in melted margarine before putting in pan, let rise.
- Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes.
