Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup jumbo oats
  • 12 cup sunflower seeds, roasted & lightly salted
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 14 cup golden flax seed
  • 12 cup hazelnuts, roasted and skins removed, coarsely chopped
  • 14 cup almonds, coarsely chopped
  • 14 cup sunflower oil or 14 cup canola oil
  • 14 cup raw honey
  • 12 cup golden raisin (sultanas)
  • 12 cup dried sweetened cranberries

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 140 C / 275F.
  • Mix together the oats, seeds and nuts in a bowl.
  • Heat the oil and honey in a large pan until warm and well blended.
  • Remove the pan from heat.
  • Add the oat mixture to the pan and stir well.
  • Spread out on one or two baking sheets.
  • Bake for about 40-50 minutes until crispy, stirring occationally to prevent the mixture from sticking.
  • Remove from the oven and mix in the raisins and cranberries.
  • Leave to cool, then store in airtight containers.
