Ingredients

  • 1 white or yellow cake mix
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries
  • 1 tub Cool Whip
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
  • 1 pkg. coconut
  • 1 pkg. nuts, if desired

Method

  • Prepare cake according to package directions, using pineapple juice instead of water.
  • Use sheath cake pan.
  • Allow cake to cool. Mix cream cheese and pudding (this is first layer).
  • Spread pineapple and Cool Whip mixture.
  • Coconut is next layer.
  • Last, top with cherries.
