Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
  • 1 c. minced onion
  • 1 can (28 oz.) tomatoes with liquid
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. thinly sliced potatoes, raw
  • 1/3 c. whole wheat flour
  • 2 pkg. frozen corn and/or green beans and/or carrots (10 oz. each)
  • 1-1/2 c. shredded cheese
  • 1 green pepper, chopped (optional)

Method

  • In mixing bowl, combine beef, onion, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce and salt. Spoon into a greased 3-quart casserole dish. Layer the potatoes, flour, veggies and green pepper on top. Bake, covered, at 375° for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and continue baking uncovered for 30 minutes.
