Ingredients
- 2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 6 c. flour
Method
- Mix water, yeast, oil and salt together and mix well.
- Add flour; knead very well.
- Put bowl over dough; let rest 15 minutes. Knead well again and let rise in a warm place (warm oven is fine), about 30 minutes.
- Knead a little more and divide into 12 balls.
- Roll 2 balls loosely, like sausage.
- Put the 2 together and crimp tightly in the middle.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet, sprinkled with cornmeal on bottom.
- Let rise in warm place, 25 to 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or a little more if you want them crispy.
