Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 c. onion
  • 1/4 c. green pepper
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. shredded cheese
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

Method

  • Brown beef, pepper and onions.
  • Put in saucepan with tomato sauce, shredded cheese, chili powder, buttermilk and egg.
  • Warm and mix with ground beef.
  • Simmer a few minutes.
  • Line baking dish bottom with a pack of buttermilk biscuits.
  • Pour in mixture. Put remaining biscuits on top.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake at 350° until biscuits are golden brown.
  • Use pack of 10 biscuits and pull apart.
