Ingredients

  • pastry for 9-inch pie
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c. ground, cooked ham or cut into small cubes
  • 1 c. shredded Swiss or Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion (optional)

Method

  • Bake pastry and let cool.
  • Combine eggs, milk, pepper and baking powder.
  • Beat well.
  • Stir in ham and cheese.
  • Add green pepper and onion, if desired.
  • Spoon into shell and bake at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes or until firm in center.
