Ingredients
- 2 lb. smoked ham, ground
- 1 lb. fresh lean pork, ground
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 c. Nabisco cracker crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
- 6 strips uncooked bacon
Method
- Have your butcher grind the meat or use your food processor. Mix all ingredients well except for bacon.
- Shape in loaf. Place in shallow pan. Cover with bacon strips. Bake, uncovered, 1 3/4 to 2 hours at 375°.
- During the last 3/4 hour, baste with the following sauce every 15 minutes.
