Ingredients
- 1 (5 lb.) canned ham
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 3 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. ice water
Method
- Bake ham for 1 hour at 325°.
- Mix together flour, salt and margarine; lightly beat salad oil and egg.
- Blend into flour mixture, using 1 tablespoon at a time.
- Stir in ice water until dough forms a ball.
- Wrap dough in waxed paper.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Cool ham slightly; roll dough 12 x 16 x 1/8-inch thick around ham.
- Place on a baking sheet; pierce with a fork.
- Bake at 325° for 30 minutes.
- Serve with cranberry-orange relish in cups made from orange rind.
