Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 3 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 18 teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 cup Diced Ham
  • 1 cup Shredded Gouda Cheese
  • 3 Tablespoons Roasted Sunflower Seeds

Method

  • Preheat your oven to 200 degrees C (395 degrees F).
  • Sift the flour with the baking powder.
  • Add black pepper and set aside.
  • Whisk together the milk and the eggs, dice the ham and grate the cheese, then combine everything together.
  • Add the sunflower seeds to the flour, pour in the milk mixture and combine everything really well using a wooden spoon.
  • Let the batter stand for about 5 minutes, then line the muffin tin with muffin liners (you will get 15 muffins).
  • Pour in the batter and bake in the preheated oven for about 1820 minutes (do the toothpick test).
  • Serve slightly cooled with a salad of your choice.
