Ingredients
- 2 c. chopped cooked ham
- 1/4 c. chopped bell pepper (optional)
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 c. grated cheese
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 stick margarine
- 2 c. milk
- 1 can Butter-Me-Not canned biscuits
Method
- Melt margarine; cook onion, pepper, flour, milk and soup together in melted margarine.
- Put chopped ham in casserole (9 x 13-inch); sprinkle with lemon juice.
- Pour cooked mixture over ham.
- Split biscuits in half (stretch as much as possible without tearing up); place on top.
- Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. When it becomes bubbly, sprinkle with a cup of grated cheese and return to oven until cheese melts.
