Ingredients

  • 8 ears corn
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. flour
  • Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Cut corn from cob and place in saucepan with cream.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Reduce heat; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in salt and sugar. Melt butter in another pan and stir in flour (do not burn).
  • Stir butter and flour; pour into corn until slightly thickened.
  • Place into oven-proof dish.
  • Sprinkle with grated cheese and dot with butter.
  • Melt under broiler.
  • Makes 4 servings.
