Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 1/3 sticks margarine, melted
  • 1 small pkg. Stove Top stuffing mix
  • 1 1/3 c. hot water
  • 1 can cream of celery, mushroom or chicken soup
  • grated cheese

Method

  • Brown meat and onion (and celery if desired).
  • Blend margarine, stuffing and water.
  • In a 2-quart casserole, layer the meat mixture with stuffing, 1/2 meat, all stuffing, remaining 1/2 meat.
  • Blend 1/4 cup water with soup and pour over casserole. Sprinkle top with grated cheese.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Serves 5 to 6.
