Ingredients

  • 4 slices fresh pineapple (about 1 1/2 in)
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • ground pepper

Method

  • Slash the tops of the pineapple in a crisscross pattern.
  • Broil until the pineapple turns caramel, but not brown.
  • Boil the lemon juice and honey in a saucepan for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat to cool, and season to taste with pepper.
  • Serve as is, or with a scoop of ice cream.
  • (You could also serve with ricotta or goat cheese).
