Ingredients

  • 5 Bell peppers
  • 4 tbsp Sesame sauce
  • 1 tbsp Roasted sesame seeds
  • 1 1/2- tablespoons Ground sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sugar

Method

  • Remove the seeds from the bell peppers, and slice lengthwise into thin strips.
  • I added one red bell pepper.
  • Parboil bell peppers in boiling water with salt (not listed above) until desired tenderness.
  • Soak in cold water to cool and fix the color.
  • Shake off excess water from the bell peppers, then toss with the sesame sauce, adding it gradually until you reach your desired taste.
  • Allow the flavors to blend into the vegetables, then season to taste and serve.
  • Homemade sesame sauce is extremely easy to make, and is very handy since can be kept in stock..
  • [Addendum] If you don't have any sesame sauce, combine roasted sesame seeds with ground sesame seeds.
  • If you don't have both, use one or the other!
