Ingredients
- 1 cup of thinly sliced fresh coconut
- 2 tablespoon of channa
- 6 small green chillies, chopped
- 6-8 sprigs of fresh cilantro
- 1/2 inch of ginger
- salt to taste
- 1/4 cup of sour yogurt
- For Tadka/ Tempering
- 1 tsp each of mustard seeds, urad dal, 5-6 fresh curry leaves and few pieces of dried red chilli.
Method
- Put coconut, chana, green chillies, coriander, ginger and salt in the grinder and grind it to a fine paste.
- Add 2 tablespoon water or a little more if necessary.
- Put it in a bowl.
- Whisk the curd and add it to the grinded paste in the bowl.
- For the tadka.
- In a small pan add 2 tablespoon of oil and after it gets heated add the mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
- Then add the uard daal and red chillies and the curry leaves.
- After the uard daal has turned a bit brown take it off the heat and add it to the mixture in the bowl.
- Mix it.
- Serve
