Ingredients

  • 1 c. rice, cooked with salt
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 1/8 c. milk
  • 1 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, grated
  • 1 small can green chiles

Method

  • Mix rice and sour cream.
  • Remove seeds and veins from chiles and chop (chile peppers in small can).
  • In casserole put a layer of rice mixture, then a layer of chiles and next a layer of cheese. Alternate layers, ending up with cheese on top.
  • Bake at 350° approximately 30 minutes.
