Ingredients
- 8 to 10 fresh or canned whole green chiles
- 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 5 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. whipping cream
- 2 Tbsp. onion, minced
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic, minced
- ground pepper
Method
- Preheat oven to 325°.
- Generously grease 10-inch pie pan or shallow casserole.
- Line plate with split chiles, covering bottom of pan completely; extend up sides as much as possible.
- Combine cheese, eggs, cream, onion, salt, garlic and pepper in blender about 2 minutes.
- Carefully pour into pie plate and bake about 30 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before cutting into wedges.
