- 1 egg
- 2 lb. chicken
- 1/2 c. Italian bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
- shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
Method
- Beat egg.
- Roll chicken in egg and then in crumbs.
- Brown chicken and drain off fat.
- Stir in soup, water, onion and seasonings.
- Cook, covered, on low heat for 45 minutes.
- Stir occasionally.
- Sprinkle with cheese and serve.
