Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 2 medium zucchini, cut into 1/4 inch slices
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • Dash of pepper

Method

  • Remove strings from beans; wash beans thoroughly. Cut beans into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Wash thoroughly. Cook beans in boiling salted water 15 to 20 minutes or until crisp tender. Melt butter in a large skillet; add onion and saute about 3 minutes. Add zucchini and cook over medium high heat 3 to 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in beans, bacon, salt and pepper; cook 1 minute.
