Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 (7/8 oz.) Hershey bars or 1 (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 c. finely chopped pecans
Method
- Combine sugar, butter and water in heavy large pan.
- Cook to 300° or hard-crack stage, stirring constantly.
- Add vanilla and pour into buttered 9 x 9-inch pan.
- Lay chocolate candy on top and spread as it melts.
- Sprinkle on pecans, cool.
- Break into small pieces.
