Ingredients

  • 5 c. rolled oats
  • 2 c. any combination: wheat germ (raw), wheat bran, corn meal, soy flower, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, unsweetened coconut, instant dry milk solids, chopped nuts, spices, cinnamon, etc.
  • 1 c. liquid including any combination of 1/2 c. honey, 1/4 c. molasses, 1/4 c. oil
  • peanut butter, milk or cream

Method

  • Mix together rolled oats and 2 cups of any of the combinations listed.
  • Combine separately the liquids, peanut butter, milk or cream.
  • Pour over dry ingredients.
  • Bake in large pans 30 to 60 minutes in 300° oven, stirring every 10 minutes.
  • When cool, if desired, add any of the following:
  • raisins, chopped dates, dried apples or apricots.
