Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. dates, chopped
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Cream egg and sugar.
- Add milk.
- Mix flour, baking powder and salt; add dates and pecans.
- Then add to creamed mixture.
- Bake in 13 x 9-inch pan at 325° for about 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and center springs back.
- Cool in pan and cut into bars about 1 x 3-inch.
- Roll in powdered sugar.
