Ingredients

  • 1 large can pineapple (undrained)
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 1 to 2 sticks margarine

Method

  • Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Dump in the undrained pineapple. Push around to cover bottom of pan evenly.
  • Dump cherry pie filling over the pineapple.
  • Then dump the cake mix over this.
  • Sprinkle sugar, chopped nuts and miniature marshmallows over the mix.
  • Dot with margarine (1 to 2 sticks, depending on how rich you want it). Do not mix.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until done.
  • Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream as topping.
