Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. cloves
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. ginger

Method

  • Cream the first 4 ingredients together.
  • Sift the flour and add the rest of the dry ingredients.
  • Slowly mix the flour into the creamed mixture and stir until well blended.
  • Make balls the size of walnuts and roll each in granulated sugar.
  • Place on a greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for about 12 minutes.
