Ingredients
- 1 medium cabbage head
- 1 large Spanish onion or any mild onion
- 1 large green pepper
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 3/4 c. Wesson oil
Method
- Shred cabbage, onion and pepper together.
- Sprinkle sugar and salt on top.
- Bring vinegar, celery seed, mustard and oil to boil and pour over vegetables.
- Cover and refrigerate 6 to 8 hours. Stir, then serve.
- This keeps well for several days in the refrigerator.
