- 1 (3 lb.) boneless beef rump roast
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. dry red wine
- 1 large onion
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. instant beef bouillon
- 1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 lb. carrots, cut in 2-inch pieces
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen green beans
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. water
- nonstick spray coating
Method
- Spray a cold Dutch oven with nonstick spray coating, then preheat over medium heat.
- Brown roast on both sides in Dutch oven; drain any fat.
- Add water, wine, onion, garlic, bouillon, thyme and pepper.
- Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
