Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, crushed
  • 8 oz. whole mushrooms, stems removed
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 12 oz. fresh shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • 1 c. white wine
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch, mixed with just enough water to dissolve

Method

  • Melt butter in large skillet.
  • Add crushed garlic and whole mushrooms.
  • Gently mix in lemon juice and shrimp.
  • (Add more butter, if needed, at this time.)
  • Saute 1 minute on each side, or until pink.
  • Add wine; increase heat and bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and add cornstarch mixture.
  • Return to flame until sauce is thickened.
  • Serve over rice.
