Ingredients

  • 2 lbs hamburger
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 (16 ounce) cans chili beans (I used Bushes Chili Beans mild sauce)
  • 1 (46 ounce) can tomato juice
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 -3 tablespoons cumin
  • 2 -3 tablespoons hot chili powder

Method

  • Brown hamburger and drain.
  • Saute onion in a little butter or olive oil.
  • In a blender, blend the sauteed onions, stewed tomatoes, and beans to a consistency you like (this hides them in the chili).
  • Mix all ingredients together in a pot, and simmer for as long as you want.
