Ingredients
- 12 large potatoes
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 2 bunches green onions, chopped
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- sour cream (16 ounces)
- 1 (16 ounce) package sharp cheddar cheese, grated
Method
- Boil potatoes and let cool. Then peel and grate them. This is also a good time to salt and pepper them.
- Make the Sauce: Melt the butter
- Put chopped green onions in and cook till they are transparent.
- Add can of chicken soup.
- Add the whole thing of sour cream.
- Add the cheese 1/3 at a time and stir until it's all melted.
- Layer Potatoes half down and then the sauce then the other half down and the rest of the sauce.
- Cook at 350 for 30 minute.
