Ingredients

  • 12 large potatoes
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 2 bunches green onions, chopped
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • sour cream (16 ounces)
  • 1 (16 ounce) package sharp cheddar cheese, grated

Method

  • Boil potatoes and let cool. Then peel and grate them. This is also a good time to salt and pepper them.
  • Make the Sauce: Melt the butter
  • Put chopped green onions in and cook till they are transparent.
  • Add can of chicken soup.
  • Add the whole thing of sour cream.
  • Add the cheese 1/3 at a time and stir until it's all melted.
  • Layer Potatoes half down and then the sauce then the other half down and the rest of the sauce.
  • Cook at 350 for 30 minute.
