Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 oz. chocolate
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Method
- Cream butter until soft and gradually add sugar.
- Blend until creamy.
- Beat in the egg yolks.
- Melt the chocolate over hot water and when slightly cool, add to mixture.
- Add flour gradually; add vanilla.
- Whip the egg whites until stiff.
- Add salt and fold into the first mixture.
- Bake in a slow oven, 325°, for 30 minutes. Serve the pie topped with a scoop of ice cream.
