Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 can pie filling (cherry or blueberry)
Method
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
- Add the eggs.
- Beat until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla.
- Stir in flour and baking powder.
- Mix until smooth.
- Grease a 13 x 9-inch cake pan.
- Spoon pie filling into the cake in 16 spots, spacing 4 spoonfuls evenly in each direction and bake.
- Flip cake on serving plate.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
- This is great served warm.
