Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 lb. margarine
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. flour
- 1 can pie filling or 1 jar preserves
Method
- Cream sugar and margarine in a large bowl.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time.
- Add vanilla.
- Add flour and mix well.
- Spread 3/4 of batter into a greased 11 x 15 x 1-inch pan.
- Cover with fruit filling.
- Drop remaining batter by teaspoonfuls, randomly on top of filling.
- Bake 45 minutes at 350°.
- Cool and cut into squares.
