Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans chili, heated
  • 1 onion, small chopped
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag Frito corn chips, crushed
  • 1 (10 ounce) can cheddar cheese

Method

  • Cover bottom of 9 x 13 pan with a layer of Fritoes; sprinkle with onion, then cheese.
  • Pour heated chili on top of that.
  • Repeat layers, ending with cheese on top of chili. (need at least 3 layers).
  • Bake at 350 until cheese is melted. Omit cheese soup if a drier casserole is preferred. (can use a deep baking dish instead of pan for more layers).
