- 2 c. fresh sliced squash

- 1 egg
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. corn meal
- salt and pepper
Method
- Mix the
- okra, squash and onions; salt and pepper the mixture.
- Combine

- the egg and buttermilk.
- Dip the vegetable mixture
- in the egg and buttermilk.
- Drain.
- Mix the flour and meal together in a separate bowl.
- Batter the dipped vegetable mixture in the meal and flour.
- Deep fry to a golden brown.
