Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. mashed bananas
- 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 to 1 c. nuts (save some nuts for top of cake)
- 1 box banana instant pudding
- Cool Whip
Method
- Mix eggs, sugar and shortening together.
- Add vanilla, bananas, buttermilk and baking soda.
- Mix well.
- Add baking powder, flour, salt and nuts.
- Beat until fluffy.
- Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Cool.
- Mix 1 package of banana instant pudding according to box directions.
- Spread over cake. Spread Cool Whip over this.
- Sprinkle with nuts.
