Ingredients
- 10 - 12 ears corn
- 1/3 cup bacon drippings
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Water
Method
- Cut the kernels off the cobs with a sharp knife being careful not to cut too close to cob.
- Melt bacon drippings in a skillet; add corn and saute lightly for about 10 minutes.
- Scrape the milk from each cob into the skillet.
- Add sugar, salt and pepper.
- Cover with just enough water to cover corn and cook for about 25 minutes.
