Ingredients
- 1 qt. apples, peeled and sliced
- 3/4 stick margarine
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1/4 to 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- other spices (if desired)
- salt to taste
Method
- Combine all ingredients, except apples. Bring to a boil, stirring, and cook until it thickens. Add apples; make sure all apples are coated with mixture. Reduce heat and cook until apples are tender. Stir very little so apples will remain intact.
