Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 6 eggs
  • 4 Tbsp. Frangelico (a hazelnut liquor)
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 c. hazelnuts or almonds, roasted and coarsely chopped

Method

  • Mix all dry ingredients (except nuts) in a large bowl.
  • Mix the eggs and liquids in another bowl.
  • Add liquids to dry ingredients gradually until dough is stiff.
  • Stir in nuts and mix well.
  • Shape into 2 logs.
  • Place on a greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
