Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 c. milk
Method
- Sift flour with baking powder and salt into bowl.
- In a small bowl, combine egg, shortening and milk until well combined.
- Pour all at once into flour mixture, mixing until dry ingredients are moistened.
- Drop batter by rounded tablespoonfuls into boiling stew.
- Cook uncovered for 10 minutes.
- Lower heat.
- Then cover tightly for 10 minutes more.
