Ingredients

  • 1 flank steak (1 3/4 to 2 lb.)
  • 3/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger

Method

  • Place steak in a shallow baking dish.
  • Combine remaining ingredients, mixing well.
  • Pour over steak; cover and marinate in refrigerator for 4 hours, turning occasionally.
  • Remove steak, reserving marinade for basting.
  • Grill 5 inches from hot coals about 4 minutes on each side, turning frequently and basting with marinade.
  • Serve, slicing across grain into thin slices.
