Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. milk
Method
- Stir together dry ingredients.
- Cut in shortening to size of coarse crumbs.
- Add milk all at once.
- Stir with fork until dough clings together.
- Knead dough on lightly floured surface 10 to 12 strokes.
- Roll or pat dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
- Cut with biscuit cutter.
- Place on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 450° for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
